About the Game
In the shattered realm of Vaelmoor, the dead do not rest. You are the Darksoul — an ancient wraith stripped of form, bound to wander the ruins of a world that has forgotten your name.
To reclaim your essence, you must ascend through the Forgotten Crypt, scale the Splintered Peak, and face the corrupted gods who sealed your fate. Every defeat carves a lesson into your spectral core.
Master Spectral Blast, Shadow Dash and Void Angess — abilities drawn from the souls of fallen enemies. Adapt. Evolve. Ascend.
Codex
Entries recovered from Vaelmoor's shattered archives.
The Darksoul
Spectral Wraith · The Ascendant
An ancient spirit severed from its mortal shell. Trapped between life and oblivion, it wanders Vaelmoor seeking the essence that was stolen. Absorbs enemy souls to grow stronger with every death.
The Hollow Oracle
Ethereal Seer · Keeper of Rites
A blind prophet fused to a crumbling shrine at the Crypt's threshold. Speaks in riddles. Grants the Darksoul its first ability and hints at the corruption spreading through Vaelmoor's three zones.
Aerveth the Sealed
Fallen God · The Architect
The corrupted deity who shattered the Darksoul's form and imprisoned its essence across Vaelmoor's ruins. His presence bleeds through every boss and zone, felt before he's ever faced.
Crypt Shambler
Undead Soldier · Zone 1
Mindless undead bound to patrol the Forgotten Crypt's lower halls. Slow but relentless. Their decayed armor absorbs one spectral hit before shattering. Bait their lunge to punish the recovery.
Ghost Archer
Spectral Ranged · Crypt & Peak
A fallen soldier whose soul was too vengeful to disperse. Floats at mid-range firing spectral volleys. Cannot be hit while phased — wait for the solid moment between shots to strike.
Cursed Shade
Shadow Stalker · Peak & Veil
A fragment of Aerveth's corruption given form. Mimics the Darksoul's movement with a 0.5s delay. The mirror must be broken — hit it with Void Angess to collapse the copy instantly.
Armored Skeleton
Heavy Infantry · The Peak
The reanimated elite guard of the Splintered Peak. Full plate reduces spectral damage by 70%. Must be staggered with Shadow Dash impact before defenses drop. Punish the recovery window hard.
The Bone Sovereign
2-Phase · The Forgotten Crypt
Once the high priest of Vaelmoor's order, now a colossal skeletal titan fused with the crypt's stone. Phase 1 — patience, read the slam. Phase 2 — the ribcage opens and the soul core becomes vulnerable.
Guard of the Peak
3-Phase · The Splintered Peak
A colossal runic golem that has stood sentinel at the Peak for centuries. Each phase strips stone armor to reveal a faster, more enraged core. Phase 3 introduces ground-shattering AOE — stay airborne.
The Veil Warden
4-Phase · The Veil
A being of collapsed void energy that reshapes the arena at each phase. Environmental hazards are as lethal as its attacks. The hardest fight in the game. Read. Adapt. Survive.

Player Reviews
"This is the souls-like I didn't know I needed on PC. The spectral movement system is buttery smooth and the boss designs are genuinely creative. Shadow Dash saved my life more times than I can count."
"The atmosphere is unmatched for a free game. Torchlit corridors, ominous Boss Lore tablets, crumbling gothic architecture — it genuinely feels like a premium release. Completed it three times already."
"I went in expecting another mediocre indie and came out 8 hours later completely wrecked by the Guard of the Peak fight. Insane enemy design. The pixel art is stunning — every sprite feels hand-crafted."
"Brilliant game. Controls feel tight, deaths feel fair. The Void Angess ability is absolute chaos in a good way. Taking off one star only because I want more levels — the existing content is too short for how good it is."
"As a developer I'm genuinely impressed by the hitbox accuracy and input handling. Zero input lag, responsive controls, and the sound design during the Bone Sovereign fight gave me goosebumps. Exceptional work for free."
"Downloaded on a whim, stayed for 12 hours. The mini-map is gorgeous, the lore tablets are actually worth reading, and the enemy variety between the Crypt and the Peak is impressive. One of the best free games I've played in years."
